Review of TAKE A HINT, DANI BROWN

TAKE A HINT, DANI BROWN BY TALIA HIBBERT

Talia Hibbert might be one of my new favorite romance authors! Chloe Brown was such a fun read and Dani Brown lives up to its predecessor. The way that Hibbert writes her characters especially the male characters seems completely fresh and up to date with the times. This book was different in a number of ways than Chloe Brown but still had the same heart, humor, and steamy moments which is why we all love romance novels in the first place! This is a story that will leave you smiling and wondering how we all went so long without picking up one of Hibbert's books!

The story centers around Dani Brown (obviously) a Ph.D. Student, who is emotionally detached from love and just looking for something physical. Zafir Ansari the handsome security guard in her classroom building is a hopeless romantic ex-athlete. When A viral video of the two spreads like wildfire, #DrRugbae is created and the two make a pact to help each other out. But we all know how something like that plays out. And even though its a story we have all heard it still feels new and it's hilarious. Something that shocked me was how much I connected to the character of Zaf, most of the time I like the male characters but this time I felt like I completely understood him. And Dani's confidence is so envious and I think everyone would benefit if we were more like her in some ways.

Stand out quote:
"Because it was all about hope, about finding sparks of light in a world that could be so fucking dark." P 236

Some questions to ponder!
  1. Why do you think Dani still persuade Zaf even after finding out he was a hopeless romantic?
  2. Would you enter a fake relationship to help someone? Why/Why Not?
  3. How could Zaf had taken a hint?

Thanks for stopping by!
