A little about ME!

Well Hello There!

Welcome to my blog that is all things books! My name is Monay and I love books. And I mean I LOVE BOOKS. Like buying new books every couple of weeks or even days. Like reading two or three books at once just because I can't wait to finish the one I'm on. I enjoy being surrounded by my books and you'll hardly see me without one on me if I'm out in the world. So in the truest sense, I am a junkie.

When I was little I forced my mom (like so many little kids) to read (and sometimes re-read) a book or story because I loved the way I could be transported into another place. This carried on throughout my life and lead me to graduate from college with a degree in History. I really fell in love once I found Reese's Book Club but since falling into the world of Bookstagram I've found people very much like me and now most of my day is consumed by reading. So if you find yourself being like me in any form or way join me while I read too many books and explore new authors and stories. But shall we get to know each other just a little first? I'll start! 

• I'm an absolute sucker for a good rom-com (book or movie). 
• I'm a fraternal twin. 
• I'm constantly adding authors of color into my TBR because their/our voices matter and I relate so much to them.
• My favorite book from 2020 is QUEENIE by Candice Carty-Williams.
• I'm a writer. Currently looking for an agent/ publisher for my first book while finishing my second! 
• My favorite show is Outlander (Okay I'm completely obsessed).
• My favorite movies are Jojo Rabbit and How the Grinch Stole Christmas (My taste ranges obviously). 
• I go to Disneyland (pre-covid) more than most people I know. 
• California girl through and through.
